A 24-year-old man died after being shot in Wilson Borough, Pennsylvania, early Sunday morning, and police said his brother told investigators that the shooting was accidental.
Officers responded to the 2200 block of Birch Street shortly after midnight Sunday after receiving a report of a shooting, according to authorities.
When police arrived, they found a man who said he had accidentally shot his 24-year-old brother in the back of the neck.
The wounded man was taken to the Anderson campus of St. Luke’s Hospital, where he later died from his injuries, according to police.
His brother was taken into custody for questioning following the shooting. Authorities have not indicated in the available reporting whether he has been arrested or charged.
